Have you visited our newest project yet?
The ODSA, working in conjunction with Devin and Kyle Grootenboer of the Caledonia Disc Golf Club, as well as the Friends of Lafortune Park and Haldimand County, are proud to announce that as of October 1st, 2018, Ontario has its newest playable course. Set in motion nearly 2 years ago, working with the Friends and County, we'd slowly been able to take what was a retired-campground, destined for private sale, into active park status again with a beautiful Championship-level 18 hole course. Each hole has 2 rubber tee pads and is finished with a brand-new Innova Discatcher Pro in Canada red. Haldimand county is currently working to expand pre-existing parking for the course on Onondaga Townline Road (Winter parking location). Hole 1 can be found located closer to the course's summer parking location, near the underpass off Highway 54, south against the river entrance.
Funds from the Friends of Lafortune, Haldimand County, Donations solicited by the Caledonia Disc Golf Club and from the Ontario Cup Legacy fund were used in the course's nearly $30k budget. We want to give a heartfelt "Thank You" to all who contributed financially or with their time.
So, what are you waiting for? Give the Lafortune Park disc golf course a try and leave a comment to tell us what you think!
