About the ODSA

The Ontario Disc Sports Association, a fully recognized Provincial Sports Organization recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture. It was formed in 2005 with the aim of advancing the growth of disc sports throughout Ontario.

We have four main goals:

  1. ‍To promote the understanding and skills surrounding the play of multiple disc disciplines and to encourage cross feeding of ideas between physical and educational aspects, by providing a forum through which these activities can be recognized.
  2. ‍To assist Ontario disc players by fostering and supporting disc meetings, developing workshops and playing groups; by disseminating information regarding important developments and issues, and by developing a current register of Ontario players, including their background and playing activities.
  3. ‍To provide a formal interface with other disc associations such as the USA Ultimate, the Guts Players (P.) Association (A.), the Freestyle P.A., the Professional Disc Golf A., Ultimate Canada (UC) and other Canadian and country associations whose interests are covered by the World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF).
  4. ‍To represent Ontario disc players to both governmental and non-governmental authorities and institutions (e.g. school and university systems, Trillium Foundation programs, Ministry of Health etc.). As part of this function, to recommend to UC and the PDGA regarding the representation and business matters related to Ontario’s members participation at the yearly championships.
