Home of the new Tecumseh disc golf course.
Thanks to the Windsor Essex Disc Golf Association, Ontario disc golfers now have another beautiful course at their disposal. The association, fronted by members Ron Hebert, Scott White and Ken Kilbreath, have been playing object golf in Lakewood Park, located in Tecumseh Ontario (just East of Windsor proper), for years. When the federal government offered up a grant in celebration of Canada's 150th birthday, the club and city jumped on the opportunity to fund a dream that was a long-time in the making.
With brand new DGA Mach III baskets, adorned with customized course number plates, and freshly-poured concrete teepads, the Lakewood Park Disc Golf course is a gift for all Ontario disc golfers to come and enjoy. Located just off the Lake St. Clair shoreline on a retired municipal ball golf course, the scenery and terrain are ideal for disc golf. Mature hardwoods dot the fairways and challenge players to shape lines through the challenging 18-hole layout. There is ample parking available as well as food and beverages available on-site at the Lakewood Cafe.
A course "Grand Opening" is scheduled for spring 2017, however the course is very much open and playable now. Below you'll find an address, map and scorecard.
